Fraternity History
Established in 1904, Alpha Kappa Psi is the world's oldest and largest professional business fraternity. The Founding Fathers, known as the "Brooklyn Four", founded Alpha Kappa Psi to unite individuals possessing a unique drive for success.
Every night, the Founding Fathers walked home from school over the Brooklyn Bridge and discussed the need for an organization--one that not only educated students, but also fostered leaders. Thus, Alpha Kappa Psi was formed and has been used as a stepping stone by thousands of individuals to advance their college and professional careers.
With a network of more than 250,000 members spanning the globe, Alpha Kappa Psi unites brothers from all fields and backgrounds. Our alumni have held positions that range from United States Presidency to Fortune 500 CEOs, and have enabled us to provide our brothers with the guidance and skills necessary to further their individual welfare on both a personal and professional level.
